Cecil Clive Taylor was a found dead at the bottom of a staircase.
He was a painter's decorator and had gone to the Stockwell Training College to carry out painting in a dormitory on the Wednesday morning. Within twenty minutes he was found lying at the bottom of a well formed square wall of a staircase.
He had been at work and had completed a portion and had then shifted his paint pot and brush to go and work in another part of the dormitory.
It could not be explained how he had come to fall over the 3ft. 6in. rail that had guarded the staircase.
