Date: 14 Apr 2003
Place: Icknield Way, Luton
Natalia Wilkanowska was found under some rubble at a house on 9 December 2015.
She was also known as Natalia Doherty.
She disappeared in April 2003. Her husband, who was thought to have murdered her, committed suicide in July 2003 in Port Glasgow, Renfrewshire on the anniversary of their wedding. They had separated after 23 years of marriage in 2001.
It was thought that shortly before she had vanished she had gone to see her husband at the Regent's Arms pub in Hastings Street, Luton, which was later demolished.
She was last seen in Eastbourne, where she lived in April 2003.
Relatives of Natalia Wilkanowska were later charged with perverting the course of justice and preventing a lawful burial, including a relative that had continued to live at the house in Icknield Way, Luton, and one was convicted and given a suspended prison sentence.
