David Dann was shot as he came out of some flats in Prendergast Road, Blackheath just after midnight on 4 April 2000.
No one was ever charged with his murder.
David Dann had lived in Napier Street, Deptford.
He had been to the block of flats in Prendergast Road to meet someone and had been leaving with a friend when he was shot at from behind. Both David Dann and his friend ran off in different directions, but the friend said that he soon after heard more shots fired, and when the police arrived they found David Dann had been shot.
He was taken to Lewisham Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 12.46am.
He was hit by three bullets.
He was described as a big man that was into his weights. His mother said:
The gunman was said to have been wearing a hooded anorak and white trainers or socks.
He was said to have run off from the scene.
