Age: 6 Weeks
Date: 11 Dec 1927
A six-week-old child was found abandoned in a perambulator on 11 November 1927 in the lobby of a block of flats in Cathcart Hill, Highgate.
It was taken to the Islington Infirmary where it died a month later from syncope following starvation and accelerated by exposure.
The Coroner's jury returned a verdict of manslaughter against some person or person's unknown.
The matron at the infirmary named the child Margaret Cathcart but the Coroner directed that the death should be registered as 'name unknown'.
