Bill Hendry

Bill Hendry was run over whilst crossing the road on 26 February 2007 but the driver drove off.

In 2017 police issued CCTV evidence of the person they were looking for.

He had been crossing Stockwell Lane in Knaresborough. After he was found he was taken to Harrogate Hospital where he died later the same day.

The police later released the image of a man that was taken in CCTV footage in what was the Chain Lane post office at the time, saying that they thought that the man could privide vital information in the case.The man was described as being of large build, with dark hair and wearing a dark fleece top.

It was thought that the car that had knocked him over had been a small small car or van whoch had then driven off towards Boroughbridge Road.
