Harjit Singh Dulai was stabbed by the tennis courts in Rosedale Park, off Albion Road in Hayes on the evening of 27 January 2016 an taken to hospital where he later died.

A 16-year-old boy was tried for his murder at the Old Bailey on 19 July 2016 but acquitted. He was arrested on 31 January 2016 and charged with murder on 2 February 2016.

Including the youth, eight people were arrested on suspicion of his murder shortly after his death, including a man in his 40s and a woman, although none of the others were charged.

Harjit Dulai had been stabbed just before 6.40pm and was taken shortly after to hospital by ambulance but was pronounced dead at 8.30pm.

His cause of death was given as being a stab wound to the chest.

It was thought that he had been involved in an altercation shortly beforehand although the motive wasn't known.

The murder weapon was not found.

The police said that they were looking for witnesses and were interested in speaking to a man who had been cycling through the park with a dog and who had given the ambulance crew directions to the scene over his phone. They also said that they were looking to speak to anyone that had been in Rosedale Park or Albion Road around 6.40pm on the Wednesday 27 January 2016 and noticed anyone cutting through the area that ran  between the rear of the pavilion and Albion Road.

Harjit Dulai had lived in Uxbridge.
