The body of a newly-born female child was found on a conveyor line at a waste management plant in Shipley.
The cause of death could not be determined, nor could it be determined whether the child had lived or died, but it was found that the child had probably died about three days before it was found.
The body was discovered by night shift workers whilst sorting through rubbish from across West Yorkshire.
An investigation was carried out and the search for the mother was narrowed down to about 36,000 homes from where the batch of rubbish could have come from and letters were sent out.
The police also interviewed about 200 women.
In 2013 another dead baby was found at the same waste processing site.
