Edna May Williams was found dead in a marlhole about half a mile from her home.
She was a clerk and the police were alerted after she failed to return home from work.
She was later found dead in the marlhole with her clothes neatly folded by the side with her bag that contained money. There was no sign of a struggle near the spot.
Her father said that she was cheerful and deeply interested in religious matters.
The Coroner noted that the evidence was extremely inconclusive. He said that there was no evidence to suggest that she had committed suicide and also none to suggest foul play.
