His gay partner was tried for his murder and manslaughter but acquitted.
They had shared the bungalow in Laurel Close, Banbury where they lived for 20 years.
A pathologist said that Michael Keating died from internal bleeding after receiving at least one severe blow to his belly. However, Michael Keating's gay partner denied killing him and said that he could have received the injury when another man fell on him while he was on the floor.
