Boris Berezovsky

Age: 67

Sex: male

Date: 23 Mar 2013

Place: Titness Park, Sunninghill, Berkshire

Boris Berezovsky was found hanged in his bathroom and it was initially thought that he had committed suicide.

However, it was later suggested that he might have been strangled.

His inquest ruled out murder, but many people think that he was assassinated.

A German forensic scientist that was hired by Boris Berezovsky's family said that after looking at the autopsy photographs he concluded that Boris Berezovsky had not killed himself and that he had been murdered by a number of people and then suspended from the shower rail by his scarf.

The Coroner returned an open verdict saying that he could not ignore the evidence of the German forensic scientist, noting that he was an eminent witness, and observed that the evidence was conflicting which meant that he could not return a verdict stating that Boris Berezovsky had committed suicide.

The Coroner noted that there was significant evidence to show that Boris Berezovsky had been deeply depressed and under enormous financial pressure. The Coroner noted that Boris Berezovsky had lost his high-stakes court battle with the owner of Chelsea football and that he faced an almost-penniless future.

It was also noted that the police had found no signs of a struggle and toxicology tests found no traces of poisons or other chemicals.

The police also noted that they found no signs that he had been throttled before the scarf was place round his neck.

It was also suggested that the Russian government could have been behind his death as he had previously said that the Russian leader Vladimir Putin was a danger to the whole world.

Boris Berezovsky had been granted refugee status and political asylum by the British Home Office on 9 September 2003.

Although Boris Berezovsky was known for being a Russian oligarch and rich, he had left nothing in his will.

He was been found in his ex-wife's £20,000,000 house in Ascot.

Boris Berezovsky was also connected to John Palmer who was found shot in his garden on 24 June 2015 as they had both been involved in timeshares in Spain. At the time of his murder, John Palmer had been due to stand trial for timeshare fraud in Spain. John Palmer was also known for his involvement in the Brink's-Mat gold robbery. John Palmer's murder is also unsolved.
