Amjad Khan was stabbed in the back about five times outside his business, Five Star Home Entertainment, in Alum Rock Road, Alum Rock on 20 August 2005.
He was attacked just after 3pm in the street. He was then taken to Heartlands Hospital where he died shortly after arriving.
His attacker was said to have got out of a red Toyota car shortly before the attack and to have then fled on foot.
A man was later charged with his murder but there are no known trials or convictions.
