Sean McGann was found strangled in an alleyway.
The police said that they thought that his murder might have been sexually motivated.
In September 2019 the police released images of graffitti that was later found written on a wall near where his body was found in the alley. The graffitti read 'very sorry' and 'No I'm not'.
The police also released an image of a letter that was sent in 1991 and was addressed to his parent that it was thought might have contained some clues.
