Giles Metcalfe

Giles Metcalfe died after being set on fire in the stairwell of Torrington Car Park, opposite Tunbridge Wells railway station on 7 March 2017.

His cause of death was given as being due to burns and smoke inhalation whilst his provisional post mortem results had indicated that he had died as a result of the effects of a fire. The pathologist noted that Giles Metcalfe had been drinking and had been almost three-and-a-half times the legal drink-drive limit and said that he thought that he would have been 'relatively oblivious' to whoever was with him and what was happening.
