Elizabeth Ellen Stones was found run over by a cart on 15 August 1915.

She had lived a 2 back of 19 Leach Street in Ladywood and was run over by the cart near to where she had lived.

She had been out playing with her brother who had later left her.

Elizabeth Stones was later found by roadmen

A doctor said that her injuries were probably caused by a broad flat wheel.

Exhaustive inquiries were made but the cart that she was run over with was not discovered.

An open verdict was returned.
