Bathsheba Coates died after a street disturbance.
It was said that a 31-year old steel worker had pushed her down in the disturbance causing her fatal injuries and he was arrested for her manslaughter.
The steel worker was indicted at Leeds Assizes for her manslaughter but was found not guilty and discharged after the stipendiary magistrate declined to commit him and the counsel re-read the depositions and concluded that a conviction could not be sustained.
