Robert Duff went missing in 2013. He was last seen outside Sainsbury's in Holloway Road withdrawing money on 12 January 2013.

He had earlier been to a flat in Bredgar Road, Archway, north London with several other people. The Sainsbury's in Holloway Road had been the 643-645 Holloway Branch by the Elthorne Road bus stop north bound. He was seen in CCTV there using the cash machine.

He had been due to attend a family celebration for his daughters 18th birthday but failed to show up and it was thought that he might have been murdered although no body or evidence for that has been found.

He was 5ft 7in tall, had a slim build and short brown hair. He had been living in a flat at the time and shortly after he vanished, which was described as being out of character, the police attended his flat and forced an entry but found no sign of him.

He was initially reported as being missing but in 2018 the police said that they were launching a murder enquiry.

It was thought that he had later got into a fight with two men on the night that he was last seen, and was killed.

He was known to frequent the Islington, Holloway, Camden and Kentish Town areas.

During their investigation the police searched nearby ponds and a flat.

In May 2018, two men, aged 51 and 70, were arrested on suspicion of murder in Archway, north London.

In November 2020 the police announced that they were going to search the No1 pond in in Waterlow Park, near Highgate Village with police divers for his body which they said new information indicated that he might be concealed there.

He had two children.
