Tony Agard was found drowned in a canal on 25 July 2016.
It was heard that there was no way of determining how he had got in although he could have been pushed.
There were no signs of violence and his cause of death was given as drowning.
He had just found out that he was going to be a grandfather and had bought some cans of cider and was staying in to listen to music and play his PlayStation on the night of 21 July 2016.
However, his wife said that she his PlayStation was on pause and that the cans of cider were empty, given the impression that he had just popped out, but he never returned.
He was found dead in the canal four days later.
