Sex: male

Date: 28 May 2017

Place: Barsby Close, Warwickshire

Jake Palfreyman was found with head and torso injuries in Barsby Close on the night of Sunday 28 May 2017 at about 9.40pm.

He was taken to hospital but died the following day from head injuries.

Two men aged 32 and 50 were arrested on suspicion of murder but the Crown Prosecution Service said that there was insufficient evidence to take further action against them.

A 20-year-old man was also arrested shortly after on suspicion of murder but the police later released him.

The police said that they thought that Jake Palfreyman had been involved in several incidents on the day he received his injuries.

It was said that first of all a window had been broken at a property in Barsby Close after which Jake Palfreyman had been involved in an altercation with a 20-year-old man outside the White Horse pub in Long Street.

It was said then that Jake Palfreyman had been involved in the incident in Barsby Close in which he received his fatal injuries.

The police said, 'We believe Jake was involved in a series of incidents that have culminated in him receiving a serious head injury and falling unconscious. We’re especially keen to speak to anyone with information about the final moments leading up to this incident'.

The police were later seen to search a flat in Edward Street in Nuneaton in connection with his death.

Jake Palfreyman had worked at Lister Road Fish Bar and was a father.
