William Jones died a few hours after drinking some home-made wine.
He had drunk the glass of wine after dinner on the Thursday and then returned to work and while hoeing he was seized with violent pains in his stomach and then taken home in his employer’s car.
After he was returned home a doctor was called for but by the time the doctor arrived William Jones was dead.
He was a farm labourer.
