The body of a newly-born male child was found in the Avon at Great Comberton on 10 July 1934.
It was found by a Birmingham angler. He said that when he brought it to the surface he first thought that it was a doll.
The body was decomposed.
The Coroner said that the circumstances in which the body was found gave cause for considerable suspicion as to how the child met its death, and that it was obvious that a number of people must have known something about the matter.
An open verdict was returned.
