Charles William Gibson was found strangled in his bedroom with a belt tied tightly round his neck on 10 February 1936.

He was found lying across the foot of a single bed with the blinds in the room being down.

One of his sons said that he had never heard William Gibson threaten to commit suicide.

The doctor that carried out his post-mortem said that he found traces of early bronchial pneumonia and a mild degree of asphyxia.

He was a brass moulder.
