Glayds Mary Hargest

Age: 23

Sex: female

Date: 21 Nov 1935

Place: Breconshire

Glayds Mary Hargest was found in a roadside ditch with a fractured skull on 21 November 1935.

She was a farmer's daughter.

The pathologist said that she had a fractured skull and lacerations of the brain and said that he thought that her injuries might have been inflicted by some heavy and swift-moving vehicle.

A doctor said that he found green stains on her mackintosh which he said showed that she must have been hurled with considerable violence to the ground.

The Coroner said that the whole thing remained a complete mystery but thought that the jury should say that they believed that it was not murder.

An open verdict was returned.
