Baby

Age: 0

Sex: male

Date: 24 Aug 1936

Place: Milton Park

The body of a newly-born child was found in a public convenience in Milton Park on 24 August 1936.

A man said that he had been near the convenience at the time and had seen a woman go into the toilet with a parcel but come out again without it. The parcel was found soon after.

A doctor that examined the child said that there were no marks of injury on it and that death was due to asphyxia due to insufficient attention during childbirth. He said that it had probably been born between 12 to 24 hours before it was discovered and said that he thought that it might have been born stillborn.
