The body of a newly-born female child was found in a railway train at Leeds Central Station.
It had been wrapped up in a piece of table cloth and enclosed in a box in a first-class compartment of a Great Northern train that had arrived at 8.19am.
The doctor said that the child must have lived for several hours and that it had probably died from want of attention or food.
