The body of a newly-born child was found on Wanstead Flats by a little girl.
Its head, feet and upper extremities were all missing and it was impossible to determine its sex.
The Coroner said that it looked like it had been eaten by a swan or rats.
An open verdict of found dead in the water was returned.
