Date: 25 Sep 1937
Mary Ellen Clarke died from septicaemia.
Her husband said that she had complained of pains for some time prior to her death. He added that as far as he knew, nobody had visited their house other than the nurse that had attended to her when her three other children were born.
She had been taken to the Nottingham General Hospital where she died 10 minutes after admission.
An open verdict was returned, allowing police to carry out further enquiries.
