The body of a newly-born child was found in Moravian Road in Kingswood.
It was found wrapped up in a piece of sacking, although there were no clues that could lead to any identification.
The medical evidence state that the child had been strangled and had only had a very brief separate existence.
The Coroner's jury returned a verdict of wilful murder against some person or persons unknown.
