The body of a newly-born child was found on a flower bed in Beckford Road.
The parcel was found by a woman that lived in the house to which the garden belonged. She said that after taking down the black-out screen on the Friday that she saw a parcel on the flowerbed in the garden. She said that she called her husband and when they went to investigate they found that the parcel contained the body of a baby and then immediately informed the police.
It was said that there were no marks on the wrappings of the parcel or the wrappings around the child that could lead to any identification.
