Baby

The body of a male newly-born child was found in the Grand Union Canal near the Marylebone Generating Station.

It was found by a generating station pump attendant. He said that he saw the body in the water and got it out and then called the police.

A pathologist said that he thought that it had been in the water for some time and gave the cause of death being want of attention at birth.
