Hugh Brindle

Hugh Brindle was knocked down in Park Road on 10 October 1941 and taken to the infirmary where he later died on 22 December 1941.

He was a retired horse driver and had lived at 86 Redearth Road in Darwen.

It was heard that he had told a relative that he was going out for a walk to Blackburn and back.

His inquest said that there was insufficient evidence to show how he had been knocked down.
