Albert George Wilfred Beecham was found unconscious in a building with a chloroform rag in his hand.
He died soon after.
He was a laboratory assistant at the research department at the Woolwich Arsenal and it was thought that he might have been experimenting.
His father said that he liked to tinker about with things.
He had lived in Alabama Street in Plumstead, London.
