David Morris

Age: 52

Sex: male

Date: 30 Aug 1941

Place: Sunny Road, Southport

David Morris died the day after he was knocked over by a motorcyclist.

He was a grocery branch manager and had lived in Kenwood Road in Darcy Lever, Bolton.

He had been on holiday in Southport at the time at a house in Sunny Road.

He had been out the previous night, Friday 29 August 1941, when he was knocked over by a motorcyclist, but he had appeared none the worse for the accident except for two cuts on his forehead. He went back to the house that he was staying at in Sunny Road and died the following day. He was found dead on his bedroom floor.

A doctor said that he died from cerebral haemorrhage caused by a blow on the head. He noted that there was no fracture to his skull.

An open verdict was returned.
