Wladyslaw Gwiazdzinski

Age: unknown

Sex: male

Date: 28 Mar 1942

Place: Plymouth

Wladyslaw Gwiazdzinski was found dead in a bombed house in Plymouth.

He was a Polish petty officer.

The coroner said that it was a pretty straight forward case of someone being murdered. He said, 'I don't think this Polish sailor could have got his injuries in any other way'.

When the question of manslaughter was brought up, the coroner noted that it would be reasonable to expect someone to have come forward but noted that no one had.

It was heard that his cause of death was cerebral haemorrhage and a fractured skull caused by blows on the head from extraneous violence from some object.

The jury returned a verdict of murder by some person or persons unknown.
