Adetokunbo Jordan Ajobo was attacked by a gang armed with knives and machetes outside shops near City Airport in London on 8 November 2017.
The police and an ambulance were called at 8.10pm and he was taken to hospital where he died soon after at 9.30pm.
His cause of death was given as a stab wound.
Several people were arrested in connection with his murder and the police said that they were still trying to trace a 21-year-old man. A man was charged with his murder in December 2017 but nothing more is known about that.
He was stabbed in Pier Road near the approach to the Woolwich Ferry. It was said that he was ambushed by a group of about eight armed men who were seen to jump out of a car.
Adetokunbo Ajobo, who was also known as Jordan Ajobo, was a boxing coach.
