Dorothy Irene Barrand

Dorothy Irene Barrand was found dead in the morning by her mother.

She had died from suffocation.

The mother said that she had gone out to work on the Thursday night at a government factory leaving Dorothy Barrand in the care of her sister-in-law with whom she lived. She said that after she returned and went to feed her at 6am on the Friday morning she found that she was dead.

An open verdict was returned.

The coroner said that there was no blame attached to either the mother or her sister-in-law.
