POLICE have launched a fresh bid to catch the killer of a gran who was stabbed in her home almost 40 years ago.
Annie Irvine, 57, was sexually assaulted before she was repeatedly knifed on August 17, 1974.
The widow lived alone and her body lay undiscovered in her tenement flat in Clarence Street, Paisley, for two days.
