Thomas George Abbott was robbed and killed in a street in Paddington, London.
He was attacked at the corner of Aberdeen Place and Edgeware Road in Paddington as he was standing talking to two other people at about 11.30pm on the Monday night 26 February 1945. He was attacked by a group of four men who knocked him unconscious and then ran away.
He was taken to St Mary's Hospital where he died two days later on the night of Wednesday 28 February 1945.
His post mortem found that he died from a fractured skull.
He was a despatch clerk and a caterers foreman and had lived in Shirland Road, Maida Vale.
