Date: 13 Nov 1946
The body of a newly-born female child was found wrapped up in brown paper in the grounds of Holy Trinity Church in Margate.
The cause of death was said to have been asphyxia, although it was not possible to show how that had been brought about.
The coroner said that he thought that the child’s body could have been brought in from outside the town.
An open verdict was returned.
