Marek Pudlowski was found seriously injured on a bench in Bognor town centre.
He had been assaulted.
He had lived in Bassett Road, Bognor.
He was seen in CCTV in Bognor at a bank and the police said that it appeared that he had already been injured by that stage and appeared to be in discomfort and pain. He was seen sitting in a chair leaning forward with his hands clasped whilst a member of the bank staff got a bucket for him.
He was found later in the day by a member of the public on a bench near the pier.
He had suffered serious bruising to his upper body. However, his post-mortem examination was inconclusive.
The police operation into his murder was called Operation Langton.
Marek Pudlowski was from Poland and was married with a daughter.
