The body of a man was found washed ashore at Purfleet near Tilbury Docks on 13 July 2019.
His inquest returned an open verdict after it was heard that there were 'very scant circumstances' known about how he came to die.
His post-mortem revealed that he drowned.
His identity was unknown.
