Date: 27 Jun 1947

Place: Biggleswade

A baby died from a head injury.

Two marks were found on the child's head.

The child’s death was given as being due to shock following a blow to the head, but there was no evidence as to the cause. The inquest heard that there might have been a simple explanation for the injury, but that it was not forthcoming.

Her mother said that she had no idea how it happened and could not explain the marks on the child’s head.

An open verdict was returned.
