Baby

The body of a newly-born child was found in the Littlewoods Department Store in Piccadilly, Manchester.

A cafe cashier at the store said that she saw a woman carrying a brown paper parcel which was later found in another part of the store and which was found to contain the body of the child and was able to give a description of the woman to the police.

An open verdict was returned.

Littlewoods Department Store is now a Boots the Chemist store.
