Mary Ann Stagg was found dead in a wheat field.
She was last seen on 4 July 1906 sitting down between the Halfway House and Stallibrass Gap at 7.30pm and seen a short while earlier at 6.45pm on the Southside of the Coastguard Station.
When she was found her body was almost unrecognisable.
The coroner said that there was no reason to suppose that anyone had interfered with her, but said that there was no evidence to show how she had got to the spot where she was found.
An open verdict of 'Found Dead' was returned.
