James Bradley White was found lying at the foot of the New Steps on the South Foreshore Road in Scarborough and died the following day from his injuries.
He was found on the 8 August 1906 and died on 9 August 1906.
He was from York.
It was considered that he might have fallen, but it was suggested in some quarters that he had been pushed down the steps.
It was shown that he had been drunk when he had left his father in York, but that there was no evidence that his companions had pushed him down the stairs and an open verdict was returned.
