Olive Kitty Wilson died after being shot.
A man that she had been with who had had the gun said that he stumbled, and the gun went off.
He said, 'I stumbled, and the gun went off automatically. She fell and I could see I had shot her'. He said that she had been walking in front of him in the copse and that he had had a double-barrelled shot gun ready to shoot pigeons.
The police said that they found that his gun had a faulty safety catch.
An open verdict was returned.
Olive Wilson was from Southampton.
