Charlotte Scott

Charlotte Scott was found dead at her grocery store.

Her body was found late on the night of Wednesday 19 January 1949 in a room behind the little grocery store that she and her husband kept. They were said to have lived alone together in the small back room and kept very much to themselves.

It was thought that she had been dead for about two days.

Her husband informed the police after walking into the Lawnmoor Street police office shortly before 11pm on Wednesday 19 January 1949. The police said that they were giving him police protection.

Nothing more is known.
