Cecil Glyn Jones was found dead in the River Thames.
His wallet was empty and there was no loose change in his pockets but there was no evidence that he had been attacked.
He was a butcher from Treharris in South Wales and had been on holiday in London at the time. He had left home a few weeks before Christmas afterwhich there had been no news of him. He had been in business with his brother in Perrott Street in Treharris.
His cause of death was given as being due to drowning.
An open verdict was returned.
