Christina Furnival

Christina Furnival was found dead in an alleyway about half a mile away from her home.

Her step-son was tried but acquitted but it was said that he was discharged after the police made a mistake with a taped interview they held with him. The court heard that the police had not informed him before they started the interview that he had the right to remain silent.

The error was described as a police blunder.

Her step-son had denied the murder.

Christina Furnival was a mother of five children.
