Matthew Dyet was last seen at about 5pm on Tuesday 17 February 2009.
He was seen in CCTV footage leaving the Costcutters shop on the High Street in Eyemouth with his cross-collie dog at about 5pm. His dog was later found in the back garden of his house, but he has never been back.
He was described as being around 5ft 9in tall with with long grey hair and wearing a blue jacket, a grey or beige jumper and faded jeans.
He was well known in the Killies area and used to busk around Berwick, Galashiels and other towns.
He has not made contact with anyone since, including his relatives.
The police said, 'His disappearance is very much out of character, but there have been no more confirmed sightings since last February, despite extensive investigation and media coverage'.
