It was reported that a man was murdered at the Empire Ballroom in Leicester Square on 10 August 1988, but nothing more is known.
A man was charged with having attempted to pervert the course of justice by blaming the murder of people that he knew to be innocent. It was said that at the Empire Ballroom on 10 August 1988, knowing that a serious arrestable offence had taken place, that he had removed the victim from the scene and attempted to falsely accuse person that he knew to be innocent of the offence.
However, no further information about the murder can be found.
The case is assumed to be a different murder at the Empire Ballroom in Leicester Square to that of Richard Henvey who was stabbed to death there on 2 April 1987 and whose murder is unsolved.
